Actor Park Sang-myun is set to reveal the backstory of his amusing acceptance speech at the '2025 KBS Drama Awards' on the upcoming episode of MBN's 'Kim Joo-ha's Day and Night,' airing on the 14th.

Park, who won an award at the KBS Drama Awards for the first time in 19 years through his debut daily drama 'Grab the Fortune,' expressed his overwhelming emotions. During the award ceremony, he humorously mentioned, “To my siblings watching from Seongnam, Uijeongbu, Namyangju, and Gwangjang-dong, I love you,” which drew laughter from the audience.

Park admitted, “I wanted to deliver a cool speech like Hwang Jung-min at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, but I blanked out on stage,” sharing the funny incident of forgetting names and only listing places due to nerves. He also confessed to sending apology texts afterward.

Park revealed that the sitcom 'Three Friends,' which achieved a peak viewership of 37%, marked a turning point in his acting career. Although joining the sitcom was challenging for him, who was primarily a film actor, his appearance in 'Three Friends' significantly increased his value, reportedly by 4 to 5 times.

Following 'Three Friends,' Park starred in 'Hi, Dharma' and 'My Wife is a Gangster,' which collectively attracted around 12 million viewers, earning him the nickname 'Park Ten Million.' However, he faced a slump afterward, admitting, “I reflected a lot.”

Known as a 'networking king' in the entertainment industry, Park also shares his special connections with senior actors Lee Deok-hwa, Go Doo-shim, and the late Ahn Sung-ki. During the recording, he made impromptu phone calls to Lee and Go, bringing warmth to the set. After speaking with Go, Park was moved to tears, saying, “I'm so grateful.”

Park also talks about how a viral 'ramen meme' featuring him and Yoo Jae-suk in a past variety show has led to autograph requests from elementary school students. Lastly, he discusses the 'Entertainment One Hundred Club,' where members must weigh over 100kg, and proudly states, “I've maintained it for 30 years,” showcasing his 'management skills.'

'Kim Joo-ha's Day and Night' airs every Saturday at 9:40 PM.
