Emotional Turmoil: An Bo-hyun's Character Haunted by Past in 'Spring Fever'
An Bo-hyun's character is tormented by memories of leaving his father behind in a fire.

In the 11th episode of tvN's 'Spring Fever' (directed by Park Won-gook, written by Kim Ah-jung), which aired at 8:50 PM on the 9th, viewers witnessed the guilt-ridden Seon Jae-kyu (played by An Bo-hyun) and the concerned Yoon Bom (played by Lee Joo-bin).

During the episode, a flashback revealed that Seon Jae-kyu's father had fallen asleep drunk, unaware that his cigarette was still burning, leading to a devastating house fire.

Returning home, Seon Jae-kyu rushed into the burning house to save a baby. As he was about to leave, he saw his father calling out to him from the flames. In that moment, he recalled the abuse and hardships he had endured at his father's hands.

Seon Jae-kyu had often shouted at his father to stop the abuse, only to be met with more violence. As he watched his father reaching out from the fire, he remembered the hands that had caused so much pain to him and his family.

As the flames grew more intense, Seon Jae-kyu hesitated and ultimately backed away, leaving his father behind. He has since been haunted by this decision. Confiding in Yoon Bom, he admitted, "I should have saved him, but I just left him there."

Yoon Bom reassured him, saying, "It's unfortunate you couldn't save him, but that doesn't make it a crime." Seon Jae-kyu reflected, "Maybe the heavens wanted me to remember this," showing the scars from the fire as evidence of his guilt.

He explained to Yoon Bom, "I don't cover these scars because they're ugly. Every time I see them, I remember my father's eyes looking at me, and I can't bear to show them."
