In the photo, Shim's face was entirely covered in bandages, presenting a completely different vibe from before. Shim then explained why he underwent the facelift surgery twice.

Shim confessed, "No matter how much makeup I applied, I couldn't recreate the 'Young-gu' face," referring to his iconic character. "Young-gu has no nasolabial folds and should look taut, but it just wasn't possible anymore," he admitted.

He expressed his desire to show viewers the original appearance of his beloved character, Young-gu.

Shim particularly noted, "There's someone who is really good at facelift surgeries," adding, "They can remove neck wrinkles and everything. There's truly nothing left," which left the audience in awe. The broadcast highlighted his smooth, wrinkle-free neck line, drawing admiration.

A month after the facelift, Shim candidly shared, "The swelling hasn't gone down yet." In response, Kim Jun-ho joked, "You're not just a giant in comedy, but a 'giant' in facelifts," to which Shim replied, "Why go that far? That's not funny," bringing laughter to the studio.
