Jo Jun-young Shines in 'Spring Fever' with Expansive Acting Range
In the tvN drama 'Spring Fever', he plays the role of 'Sun Han-gyeol', the top student at Shinsu High School, capturing attention with his unique interpretation of the character's charm.
Born in 2002, Jo Jun-young meticulously considered props, makeup, hairstyle length, texture, and parting to visually represent the neat and straightforward character of Sun Han-gyeol, effectively capturing the character's atmosphere on screen.
To realistically portray the drama's setting in Shinsu-eup, Jo received intensive dialect coaching from a professional instructor before filming and continuously sought advice from the director, staff, and actors who use the dialect on set, enhancing the realism of his lines.
With systematic preparation and balanced acting, Jo Jun-young leads the storyline of 'Spring Fever' with stability, showcasing his matured acting skills and marking a significant step forward in his acting career.
Previously, Jo Jun-young, also under SM Entertainment, played a supporting lead in MBC's 'Bunny and the Brothers' last year. At the production presentation before the first broadcast, director Kim Ji-hoon praised Jo's casting, saying, "He came highly recommended among my directing peers. Although his works haven't been released yet, I've heard he's handsome and captivating. During our first meeting, I sensed his determination, and by the second meeting, he had lost a lot of weight, which surprised me. He's a passionate and ambitious actor, which I find impressive."
'Spring Fever' is a romance drama about the spring days that melt the frozen hearts of teacher Yoon Bom (played by Lee Joo-bin) and the passionate Sun Jae-kyu, airing every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM on tvN.
