Kim Jong-kook Betrayed by Close Friend Cha Tae-hyun on 'Running Man'

On the latest episode of SBS's variety show 'Running Man', Kim Jong-kook found himself betrayed by his close friend Cha Tae-hyun during the 'Age Notice Survival' race.

During the 'Tail Catching Survival' mission, Kim Jong-kook reached out to Cha Tae-hyun for help. He asked, "I need to hide something within a 1km radius of Dosan Park. Can I come to your place?" Cha Tae-hyun humorously replied, "I'm going to take a shower. Hide it at our office."

Kim Jong-kook teased Cha Tae-hyun about his building, asking, "Is it still vacant?" to which Cha Tae-hyun jokingly lamented, "Why are you touching on a sore spot?"

Cha Tae-hyun, who co-founded the management company 'Basecamp Company' with actor Jo In-sung last year, has actors Jin Ki-joo and Lim Ju-hwan under its wing. Their office building in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, is reportedly worth around 7.4 billion won, featuring a basement and three above-ground floors.

Upon arriving at the building, Kim Jong-kook was surprised to find the office empty and asked, "Are there no employees here?" Cha Tae-hyun quipped, "The kids didn't come? Our concept is not to come in when there's no work."

In the midst of the tail-catching survival, Cha Tae-hyun unexpectedly called Yoo Jae-suk, asking him to take Kim Jong-kook's phone as he had to run an errand for his second daughter, causing laughter. Ji Suk-jin, who was sticking close to Yoo Jae-suk, expressed envy, saying, "You're the winner today."

Kim Jong-kook, out of the game due to Cha Tae-hyun's betrayal, remarked, "Seeing 'Muscle Out', it must be Yoo Jae-suk," expressing his disappointment. Yoo Jae-suk, along with Kim Jong-kook and Song Ji-hyo, whom he absorbed just before, moved closer to victory.

Upon learning of Cha Tae-hyun's betrayal during a call with Yoo Jae-suk, Kim Jong-kook humorously exclaimed, "Isn't he crazy? He's out of his mind. Why did I trust that guy?" causing laughter.
