WOODZ Returns to 'Immortal Songs' with a Heartfelt Reunion and a Touch of Humor

Singer Lee Chan-won expresses camaraderie towards WOODZ on the special '2026 Oh My Star' episode of 'Immortal Songs'.

The 742nd episode of KBS2's 'Immortal Songs', airing on the 31st, features a '2026 Oh My Star' special. The episode boasts an impressive lineup, including Kim Kwang-jin X WOODZ, Seo Moon-tak X KARDI, Lyn X Jo Jae-joo, Lim Han-byul X HYNN, Jang Dong-woo X Serim & Taeyoung (CRAVITY), Kim Young-im X Shin Seung-tae, Jung Seung-hwan X Jongho (ATEEZ), Aiki X Lee Hae, Park Jin-joo X Min Kyung-ah, and Han Moon-chul (Hanhae X Moon Se-yoon), crossing generations and genres.

WOODZ shares his thoughts on returning to 'Immortal Songs'. During his military service, his performance of 'Drowning' on the '2024 Armed Forces Day Special' surpassed 26.32 million views and topped various music charts, establishing him as a reverse trend icon.

Reflecting on that time, WOODZ says, "Back then, I could feel the response through the officers' compliments. I had many things I wanted to do after discharge, but couldn't, which was disappointing." He adds, "Now, I'm pursuing what I wanted to do after discharge. Thanks to 'Immortal Songs', I'm experiencing moments I never imagined."

Lee Chan-won, watching WOODZ's return with pride, humorously comments, "Even though WOODZ and I have different enlistment numbers and served in different units, I feel a sense of camaraderie."

Meanwhile, Jung Seung-hwan draws attention as an unexpected 'victim' of WOODZ's reverse trend success. He humorously laments, "I also appeared on the 'Armed Forces Day Special' and even did a duet with WOODZ, but I was overshadowed." He jokes, "I'm not jealous of the reverse trend. Admitting jealousy feels like losing," and adds, "I wasn't really jealous because I was discharged long before WOODZ," making everyone laugh.

'Immortal Songs' airs every Saturday at 6:05 PM. The '2026 Oh My Star' special will continue to entertain viewers over two weeks, concluding on the 7th of next month.
