Actress Choi Hee-jin Reflects on Her Role in 'Idol Eye': 'Proud as an Actress'
Recently, we met with Choi Hee-jin at the Saram Entertainment office in Mapo-gu, Seoul, to discuss her role in the Genie TV original drama 'Idol Eye'.
'Idol Eye', which concluded on the 27th, is a romance drama that follows idol Do Ra-ik (played by Kim Jae-young) as he becomes a murder suspect. Star lawyer Maeng Se-na (played by Choi Soo-young) must prove his innocence, navigating between fandom and suspicion to uncover the truth. Choi Hee-jin played Hong Hye-joo, the naturally beautiful second daughter of a chaebol family and Do Ra-ik's ex-girlfriend.
After the show's release, Choi Hee-jin was delighted by the positive response. She recalled, "I received a lot of messages from people around me. They told me to check TikTok and Twitter, and I saw that the views had surpassed a million." She continued, "I didn't expect such a heated response. I was grateful to feel loved through this character and project, and it made me proud as an actress," she said with a smile.
