Tensions Rise on 'I Am SOLO: Love Continues' as Contestants Compete for Affection

The latest episode of SBS Plus and ENA's reality show 'I Am SOLO: Love Continues' featured a heated rivalry between contestants over a woman named Gukhwa.

On the episode aired on the 29th, the male contestants engaged in a fierce love triangle centered around Gukhwa, following a first date chosen by the female participants. The second date was determined by the men's choice, leading to intense interactions. The contestants enjoyed a late-night date in the garden, sharing local delicacies like potato pancakes and squid sausage. While Rose and Tulip returned to their rooms with no votes, Lily went on a one-on-one date with Sangcheol, and Gukhwa found herself in a two-on-one date with Mr. Kim and Youngsoo from the 22nd season. Meanwhile, Yongdam also embarked on a two-on-one date with Kyungsoo from the 26th season and Youngsoo from the 28th season.

The tension between Youngsoo and Mr. Kim was palpable as they vied for Gukhwa's attention. When Gukhwa offered to pour drinks, Mr. Kim made a pointed remark about Youngsoo's age, saying, "Respect your elders! (Youngsoo is almost 50)." He continued to emphasize the age difference, jokingly asking if they were "two cycles apart" in the zodiac. Mr. Kim even commented on Youngsoo's skin elasticity while tearing a potato pancake, adding to the playful rivalry.

Despite the banter, Mr. Kim praised Youngsoo, acknowledging his unique qualities. Gukhwa also complimented Youngsoo, suggesting he had a "bad boy" charm. Mr. Kim then flattered Gukhwa, likening her to a wise figure who recognizes and nurtures talent. Youngsoo expressed gratitude for her presence on the show.

Yongdam, on her date with Kyungsoo and Youngsoo, felt like a "queen," unable to hide her happiness. Kyungsoo, who initially had three women in mind, revealed he had narrowed it down to two, prompting Yongdam to tease him about his decision. In a one-on-one conversation, Yongdam thanked Youngsoo for choosing her, describing it as a "pleasant surprise." Youngsoo expressed hope for a fun and harmonious relationship.

After the late-night date, Kyungsoo sought a conversation with Gukhwa, encountering Mr. Kim along the way. Mr. Kim boasted about giving his all, while Kyungsoo remained optimistic about the outcome. As Gukhwa approached, Kyungsoo requested a private chat, leaving Mr. Kim behind. Meanwhile, Yongdam expressed disappointment over her second date with Kyungsoo, despite him being her top choice.

During a walk with Gukhwa, Kyungsoo expressed his feelings more openly, using a playful tone and expressing a desire to understand her feelings. Gukhwa reciprocated, admitting she was pleasantly confused by their connection. Kyungsoo gently touched her hand, blowing on her hair as if to cool it.

Gukhwa revealed her growing feelings, mentioning she had shared her emotions with Lily. Kyungsoo smiled, pleased to learn of her interest. The preview for the next episode showed Mr. Kim following the couple, his jealousy evident as he witnessed their closeness. In a dramatic turn, Mr. Kim was seen drinking heavily, shocking everyone with his inebriated state.
