Young-chul, a contestant from the 29th season of 'I Am Solo,' has spoken out about the controversy surrounding his aversion to a specific luxury brand, expressing his affection for his fiancée, Jung-sook.

On the YouTube channel 'Village Chief Entertainment TV,' operated by ENA and SBS PLUS's 'I Am Solo,' a video titled 'Under Pressure from the Sisters, Young-chul Finally Addresses the 'C-nel Controversy'' was uploaded.

In the video, the 29th season cast members of the 'I Am Solo' age-gap special gathered to watch the broadcast together and share behind-the-scenes stories. Previously, Young-chul had expressed a negative view of luxury consumption, declaring 'Chanel out,' which led to intense questioning from the female contestants.

The cast criticized Young-chul for not practicing what he preached, as he himself drove a foreign car and wore luxury clothing. However, Young-chul explained that his comments were meant to caution against spending one's entire income on consumption.

In the reaction video, Young-chul recalled the rumors among the contestants that he had an aversion to luxury brands, laughing sheepishly. Contrary to his on-screen persona, it was revealed that he gifted several luxury items to his girlfriend, Jung-sook, within a month of dating. Jung-sook shared that Young-chul promised to buy her Chanel bags until she was tired of them, hinting at his 180-degree change in attitude after they started dating.

Having developed into a real-life couple, Young-chul and Jung-sook are set to marry in April, becoming an official couple. Despite initial conflicts over differing values, the couple has built a relationship based on trust, culminating in their upcoming marriage.

Meanwhile, ENA and SBS Plus's 'I Am Solo' is a hyper-realistic dating show where single men and women eager for marriage gather to find love.
