The couple was spotted as guests at Yoon Jung-soo's wedding, which was broadcasted, drawing attention as it was the first time their married life was shown on TV in six years.

Lee Ah-young shared, "I received many messages asking if we are finally going public." Ryu Si-won explained, "I wanted to introduce my wife. When she goes out to meet friends, many men ask for her contact information. I'm not worried, but it happens so often that it bothers me. I wanted people to know that Lee Ah-young is Ryu Si-won's wife."

Lee Ah-young hesitated to speak about her 'reason for appearing on the show.' She confessed, "At first, I was very worried. I found myself caring about the public's reaction." She continued, "From a wife's perspective, it was frustrating and upsetting to see people speak negatively about my husband, who is actually a good person."

Despite her concerns about how they might be perceived on TV, Lee Ah-young decided to appear on the show to show that they are happily married and that her husband is a kind person.

Lee Ah-young, who is 19 years younger than Ryu Si-won, revealed that she turned down a lucrative seven-year contract offer from a major academy to marry him. Ryu Si-won expressed his gratitude, saying, "I'm thankful she chose me, and I feel guilty throughout our marriage for possibly making her miss opportunities. As a husband, I'm supporting her to ensure she gets good opportunities."

When asked about the benefits of being married to Ryu Si-won, Lee Ah-young said, "His presence alone is always reassuring and reliable." She added, "My love for him hasn't changed since our honeymoon phase, which even surprises me," showcasing their strong marital bond.

Ryu Si-won married Lee Ah-young, a math instructor from Daechi-dong who is 19 years his junior, in February 2020. The couple welcomed a daughter in 2024.
