Han Ji-hye's Surprise Debut in 'Beloved Thief' Leaves Viewers Stunned
In the 8th episode of KBS 2TV's weekend mini-series 'Beloved Thief,' which aired on the 25th, Han Ji-hye appeared as a nun with an extraordinary aura, heightening the tension of the drama. Her unexpected appearance, which was not previously announced, immediately captured the audience's attention.
During the episode, Han Ji-hye appeared before Hong Eun-jo (played by Nam Ji-hyun) and Chun-seom (played by Seo Young-hee) while they were praying at a mountain temple. Dressed in a modest monk's robe with a white hat, she offered to pray for Hong Eun-jo's family with a gentle smile, but soon her gaze turned cold, dominating the atmosphere.
Notably, Han Ji-hye revealed the tragic 'Gyeongo Year' history between King Lee Gyu (played by Ha Seok-jin) of Joseon and Hong Eun-jo's father, Hong Min-jik (played by Kim Seok-hoon), altering the course of the story. She delivered a heavy blow by stating, “A child should know their father's history,” and exposed King Lee Gyu's past misdeeds, which had once threatened Hong Min-jik's life, shocking Hong Eun-jo.
Moreover, it was hinted that Han Ji-hye's character is not just a simple nun but a mysterious figure tracking Gil-dong from behind a secret screen, escalating the tension. Her command to bring news about Gil-dong suggests a new wave of events as Do-wol Daegun Lee Yeol (played by Moon Sang-min) and Hong Eun-jo are set to face new challenges.
Meanwhile, with Han Ji-hye's addition, KBS 2TV's weekend mini-series 'Beloved Thief' promises even more excitement and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM on KBS 2TV.
