Go Youn-jung Shares On-Set Friendship with Kim Seon-ho in Netflix's 'Can This Love Be Translated?' [Interview②]

Actress Go Youn-jung revealed the friendly atmosphere on set with Kim Seon-ho, who is 10 years her senior.

On the 23rd, an interview with Go Youn-jung for Netflix's 'Can This Love Be Translated?' was held at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Go Youn-jung greeted the press with a polished look, as if she had just come from the salon.

'Can This Love Be Translated?' is an unpredictable romantic comedy drama where multilingual interpreter Joo Ho-jin (played by Kim Seon-ho) becomes the interpreter for global top star Cha Moo-hee (played by Go Youn-jung). Go Youn-jung portrays Cha Moo-hee, a global top star loved worldwide, capturing the intricate emotions hidden behind her glamorous exterior.

Regarding her co-star Kim Seon-ho, Go Youn-jung expressed, "I really like Seon-ho oppa's acting. It's very natural. He knows when to emphasize and when to pull back. I think making someone laugh is harder than making them cry, and Seon-ho does it all so well. Whether or not we work together, I hope to have more opportunities to learn from him."

She admitted to observing and emulating Kim Seon-ho on set. Go Youn-jung emphasized, "I tried to follow Kim Seon-ho's lead in enjoying and playing around while acting on set."

Despite their 10-year age difference, the two became more than just senior and junior colleagues; they became friends. Go Youn-jung explained, "The hair, makeup, and staff teams have been with us since previous projects. We all watch and mimic memes together. Seon-ho didn't know any memes, so I taught him one by one. Our sense of humor matched well, creating great synergy."

She added, "Recently, oppa was singing a song, and I asked, 'What's that?' He replied, 'You need to step up your game.' I realized I've helped him become quite trendy. Oppa seems very sensitive to trends." When asked if Kim Seon-ho seems like part of the MZ generation, Go Youn-jung jokingly responded, "Huh?"
