Actor Byeon Woo-seok Donates Generously to Support Pediatric Patients
According to Yonsei Severance Hospital on January 2, Byeon Woo-seok donated 100 million KRW (approximately $6,9314 USD) to the hospital on January 1 to mark the New Year. The donation will be used to support the treatment of pediatric patients.
Previously, in 2024, Byeon Woo-seok had donated 300 million KRW to the same hospital for the treatment of pediatric patients. Last year, he also contributed 100 million KRW to aid in wildfire recovery efforts.
Byeon Woo-seok expressed, "I hope this donation will provide practical help in treatment and recovery, and I will continue to practice sharing in the future." He added, "As we welcome the New Year of 2026, I hope all pediatric patients and their families can dream of hope."
Meanwhile, Byeon Woo-seok is set to appear in the upcoming MBC drama 'Perfect Crown,' scheduled to air in the first half of this year. The drama is set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy in Korea and tells the story of Seong Hee-joo (played by IU), a woman who is a commoner despite being a chaebol, and Lee An-daegun (played by Byeon Woo-seok), a prince who cannot possess anything, as they navigate a romance that challenges social status.
