Actress Ok Ja-yeon, known for her Seoul National University background, expressed her respect for entertainers as she received the Best Entertainer Award at the '2025 MBC Entertainment Awards'.

On the evening of the 29th, Ok Ja-yeon was honored with the Best Entertainer Award at the '2025 MBC Entertainment Awards' ceremony held at the MBC Media Center Public Hall in Sangam-dong, Seoul.

Through her appearance on 'I Live Alone', Ok Ja-yeon has showcased her unpretentious daily life and natural charm. She shared, "When I started 'I Live Alone', I felt embarrassed, ashamed, and scared to show my mundane life. As an actress, I felt the pressure to pursue glamour as a celebrity. I am grateful to the viewers for embracing my true self." Previously, 'I Live Alone' faced controversy as cast members Park Na-rae and Kian84 announced their departure following allegations of illegal medical procedures.

She continued, "Through this program, I learned that variety shows are a collaborative effort, much like films or dramas. From the camera crew who focus for long hours, to the post-production staff who meticulously edit each scene, to the writers and producers who oversee everything, and the cast members who enrich the show with their charm and wit, I realized that 'I Live Alone' is a product of everyone's hard work." She emphasized her gratitude to the entire production team, saying, "I don't know why I'm receiving this award, but I want to thank all the staff involved."

Ok Ja-yeon added, "I meet the audience from behind a character. I realized that entertainers stand without a place to hide. They lower and let go of themselves to bring laughter. Even when playing a character, they are ultimately perceived as themselves, which must bring many challenges and conflicts. I have always admired and respected comedians, and I wanted to express that here."
