Veteran actress Kim Young-ok recently opened up about her personal philosophy on life.

A video titled "Grandma's Full Confession, Actress Kim Young-ok's Deep Confession" was recently uploaded on Yoon Mi-ra's channel.

In the video, Yoon Mi-ra praised Kim Young-ok, saying, "The later years of life are really important. You've consistently built a great life and are now blossoming in your later years. Your life is truly admirable." To this, Kim Young-ok responded, "I can't say my later years are perfect. Every family has its own challenges."

She continued, "The elders used to say, 'Don't boast before you lay your hands on your belly.' This means that until the end, when we fold our hands for the last time, we don't know what might happen. It's a warning to be cautious. Life is unpredictable. I was shocked to realize, 'Such things can happen to me too,'" recalling the days she lost her sick grandson and daughter.

Kim Young-ok further shared, "I feel like I've been scolded by life since I was nine. My husband is ill, and I am too, and we don't know what tomorrow holds. Just because you're older doesn't mean you know everything about life, and being younger doesn't mean you're ignorant of it. I live doing my best, in my own way. When one end collides, I handle it, and when the other end collides, I manage it too."

Previously, Kim Young-ok appeared on Channel A's 'Golden Counseling Center' last year, where she revealed that she has been taking care of her grandson, who became paraplegic after a drunk driving accident, for eight years. She shared the shocking details of the accident, saying, "He was hit by an unregistered car. He almost died. He injured his spine and became paraplegic."

Despite having a caregiver, she explained why she personally takes care of her grandson, saying, "There are times when I can't help but do things for him because of just one word he says. When he tells me that the food I make is delicious, I can't give up."
