Kim Go-eun and Kim Jae-won: A New On-Screen Couple in 'Yumi's Cells Season 3'
In the 7th episode of tvN's 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' (directed by Lee Sang-yeob, written by Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran), which aired at 8:50 PM on the 4th, viewers witnessed the budding romance between Shin Soon-rok (played by Kim Jae-won) and Kim Yumi (played by Kim Go-eun).
During the episode, Kim Yumi told Shin Soon-rok, "I'm boiling water to have lunch together." Previously, Shin Soon-rok had confessed his feelings to Kim Yumi, and he was taken aback when she asked, "Is that your answer?"
At that moment, Shin Soon-rok's love cell met Kim Yumi's love cell. Shin Soon-rok's love cell said, "I'm Soon-rok's love cell, and I have something to say." In response, Kim Yumi's love cell replied, "I've been waiting, thank you for coming back," and added, "I thought I'd never get another chance, welcome," as she embraced Shin Soon-rok's love cell.
Later, Kim Yumi cooked for Shin Soon-rok. Although he offered to help, Kim Yumi insisted, "No, there are plenty of drinks in the fridge, just sit and relax." Shin Soon-rok suddenly asked, "Do you like spicy cold noodles?" Kim Yumi replied that she preferred them over regular cold noodles, and Shin Soon-rok agreed. Kim Yumi also mentioned she preferred egg strips over boiled eggs, and when she was about to crack an egg, Shin Soon-rok offered, "Let me do it," and called her "noona" (older sister).
The unexpected "noona" made Kim Yumi's heart race. Shin Soon-rok asked, "Do you mind if I call you noona? It feels strange to keep calling you writer." Kim Yumi responded, "I like it," and suggested, "Let's slowly start speaking informally." At this moment, Kim Yumi's rational cell noted, "The word 'noona' was the trigger," while her mischievous cell danced with joy at the sound of "noona."
