Actor Lee Yi-kyung Faces Allegations: Accuser Releases New Video Evidence
On the 12th, 'A' posted a video on their social media account, stating, "If anyone still thinks this is AI, raise your hand. This is the last time. If this is true, then the rest of the chat must be real too, right? It's embarrassing, but I have no choice."
The video purportedly shows Instagram DM exchanges between 'A' and Lee Yi-kyung. According to the released content, 'A' first messaged Lee on January 26 of last year, saying, "You are my ideal type. Is it okay with a foreigner?" The account, claimed to be Lee's, responded, "Your Korean is really good. Which country are you in?"
However, the authenticity of the video and 'A's identity remain unverified. 'A' previously claimed the released videos and images were AI-generated but later retracted, stating all evidence was real, further fueling the controversy.
On the 6th, Lee Yi-kyung addressed the issue indirectly during his acceptance speech at the 'Asia Artist Awards 2025' held at the National Stadium in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, where he won the Best Choice Award. He remarked, "It felt like being hit by unexpected hail," and added, "The suspect is asking for forgiveness and leniency through the company email, but I will see this through to the end." He concluded with a light-hearted note, "Is 'SNL Korea' watching? I now have Thursdays off. I miss Haha and Woo-jae."
