Korean Singer Jung Jae-wook Reflects on Late Marriage and Career Rumors
On the October 22nd episode of KBS2TV's 'Immortal Songs', the show featured 'Artist Kim Jong-chan & Lee Jung-seok' with performances by various artists including Lee Ji-hoon, Park Ki-young, Jung Jae-wook, and the duo Son Jun-ho & Kim So-hyun, who reinterpreted the legendary songs of Kim Jong-chan and Lee Jung-seok.
During the broadcast, singer Jung Jae-wook, who made a rare TV appearance, expressed his surprise, saying, "I was shocked when I heard the date during the interview earlier. I wish we could avoid mentioning those numbers," referring to his 11-year hiatus.
When asked by Lee Chan-won about a significant event last year, Jung Jae-wook replied, "I got married a bit late," receiving congratulations from the cast. Born in 1975, Jung Jae-wook married a government employee last February at the age of 48.
Meanwhile, singer Park Ki-young mentioned a rumor among singers that Jung Jae-wook had struck it rich in the stock market, which led to his hiatus from music. Jung Jae-wook expressed frustration, saying, "I've been hearing this story for 20 years," and added, "The news of my earnings makes headlines, but not the losses. It's a tearful tale." He previously revealed on a YouTube channel that he diligently invested in stocks, starting with 300,000 won and earning up to 2 billion won.
