Jeon So-ni Reflects on Her Mother's Legacy and Her Own Acting Journey
On the 10th, an interview with Jeon So-ni from the Netflix series 'You Killed Me' was conducted at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. 'You Killed Me' is a gripping tale of two women who, faced with a life-or-death situation, decide to commit murder and find themselves entangled in unexpected events. Jeon So-ni plays Jo Eun-soo, a character who fights to save her only best friend, Jo Hee-soo, portrayed by Lee Yoo-mi.
During the interview, Jeon So-ni spoke about her mother, Ko Jae-sook, a former member of the Bunny Girls.
Jeon So-ni shared, "I want to be loved as much as she was. I still admire my mother's achievements. Of course, it's difficult because times have changed."
She continued, "This seems to be a very challenging time. When I started acting, I was curious and eager to learn and try everything. I've come this far with that mindset, but it's a very ambiguous period. I'm learning things I didn't know before. I wonder if every profession has these phases. I question if I'm on the right path. At some point, things don't feel satisfying or good enough. It's a difficult time to manage those feelings."
Jeon So-ni appeared to be on the verge of tears, her eyes filled with melancholy. When the reporters remarked, "Don't cry," she playfully responded, "I'm not crying."
