TVING Original 'Dear X' Unveils a Gripping and Intense Melodrama
The TVING original series 'Dear X', rated for mature audiences, has opened with a powerful and intense melodrama suspense.

'Dear X' finally premiered on the 6th, delivering an unparalleled level of immersion with its relentless plot twists and turns. Most notably, Kim You-jung's portrayal of 'Baek Ah-jin' revealed a chilling new side of her character. The dark truths and dangerous secrets hidden behind Baek Ah-jin's (played by Kim You-jung) dazzling success have piqued curiosity about her impending tragic and beautiful downfall.

Episodes 1 to 4 of 'Dear X' delve into the past of Baek Ah-jin, a top-tier domestic star. Raised under the abuse of irresponsible parents addicted to alcohol and gambling, young Baek Ah-jin witnessed and passively observed the death of her mother, Im Sun-ye (played by Lee Seo-an), at the hands of her father, Baek Seon-kyu (played by Bae Soo-bin). After her father's remarriage, she hoped for a new life in a new family, but her stepmother, Hwang Ji-sun (played by Kim Yoo-mi), saw her as a thorn in her side, repeating her hellish experiences. However, there was one savior in her hell: her stepbrother Yoon Joon-seo (played by Kim Young-dae), who could only watch his mother's misdeeds.

As a high school student, Baek Ah-jin encounters a new 'X', Shim Sung-hee (played by Kim Yi-kyung), who, out of jealousy and rivalry for the top student position, sought to uncover Baek Ah-jin's fatal weaknesses. Discovering that Baek Ah-jin was extorting money from students through Kim Jae-oh (played by Kim Do-hoon), Shim Sung-hee seized the opportunity to attack. In response, Baek Ah-jin successfully countered using Yoon Joon-seo and Kim Jae-oh. Just as everything seemed to fall into place, Baek Seon-kyu reappeared, needing money, and the cycle of hell continued, deepening Baek Ah-jin's resentment and hatred.

Failing to enter college, Baek Ah-jin began working part-time at a café run by Choi Jung-ho (played by Kim Ji-hoon), a type of adult she had never encountered before, one with goodwill and justice. As Baek Ah-jin became famous as a beautiful part-timer, a stalker began to follow her, and Choi Jung-ho sincerely worried and helped her. Baek Ah-jin couldn't 'understand' such sincerity but thought she could 'use' it. Her devilish plan came to fruition, with a maniacal smile spreading across her blood-stained face, accompanied by Yoon Joon-seo's narration, "Thus, Ah-jin offered a sacrifice to God and broke free from her shackles," evoking both fear and chills.

However, the joy of breaking free was short-lived, as the investigation into Choi Jung-ho, the sacrificial offering, revealed truths that ensnared Baek Ah-jin. Yoon Joon-seo intended to take all the blame for Baek Ah-jin, but her true savior was someone else: Seo Mi-ri (played by Kim Ji-young), the CEO of Longstar Entertainment. Seo Mi-ri easily resolved Baek Ah-jin's crisis, promising to make her an actor with the same power, on one condition: she must no longer meet Yoon Joon-seo. "I want to rise to a place where no one can treat me carelessly. I want to be reborn at the highest peak," Baek Ah-jin's final words to Yoon Joon-seo hinted at a dangerous and precarious journey to the top.

Episodes 5 and 6 of 'Dear X' will be released on the 13th at 6 PM.
