In a dramatic turn of events, Eugene's character tore up divorce papers in front of Ji Hyun-woo's character in the latest episode of MBN's 'First Lady'.

The fourth episode, aired on the 2nd, recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 2% with a peak of 2.4%, according to Nielsen Korea.

The episode revealed the backstory of a school violence video involving Park Seo-kyung's character, Hyun Ji-yoo, who was provoked by Lee Ji-yeon's character, Park Seo-ah. Despite Cha Soo-yeon (played by Eugene) bowing her head, Park Seo-ah's mother demanded Ji-yoo's expulsion. Cha Soo-yeon's half-sibling, Cha Jung-yeon (played by Do Yoo), appeared and taunted Soo-yeon about losing a political position due to her. However, Jung-yeon later claimed to have resolved the school violence issue, only to demand Soo-yeon's divorce, sparking her anger.

Cha Jung-yeon, after Soo-yeon left, called Lee Beom-seok (played by Lee Myung-hoon) to discuss the divorce with Hyun Min-chul (played by Ji Hyun-woo), who firmly refused, focusing instead on Ji-yoo's school violence issue. Jung-yeon's suspicious actions continued as she questioned Go Ah-ram (played by Jo Hee-soo) about deleting the video from her phone.

Hyun Min-chul met with Bae Young-sun (played by Son Ji-na) from the Peace and Freedom Party to persuade her to pass a special law. During this meeting, it was revealed that Shin Hae-rin (played by Lee Min-young) and Bae's secretary, Lim Hyun-gyo (played by Joo Seok-tae), exchanged information about Cha Soo-yeon's eavesdropping and Bae's drinking issues. Min-chul's straightforward approach led to an agreement on passing the 'Do Tae-hoon Law'.

However, the school violence video was leaked, causing public outrage against the president-elect's family. Shin Hae-rin informed Min-chul that the student claimed the video was hacked from the cloud, while Cha Jung-yeon exchanged a silent glance with Hae-rin, raising suspicions.

Concerned for his daughter Ji-yoo, Min-chul asked Lee Beom-seok to find a way to take down the video, but Beom-seok suggested a public apology instead. Min-chul agreed but insisted on deciding the timing himself. He later called Shin Hae-rin to confirm her involvement in the video leak, warning her against making unilateral decisions.

Cha Soo-yeon confronted Cha Jung-yeon about Ji-yoo's study abroad issues due to school discipline. Jung-yeon offered a recommendation letter in exchange for Soo-yeon's divorce, infuriating her. Soo-yeon lashed out at Shin Hae-rin, questioning the demand for divorce at the expense of her daughter. Despite Hae-rin's denial of involvement, Jung-yeon pressured journalist Son Min-joo (played by Shin So-yul), leading Soo-yeon to reluctantly agree to divorce.

In a tense meeting with divorce papers between them, Soo-yeon recalled her first encounter with Min-chul at a 2008 election event. She had supported him despite her father's betrayal, believing in his potential. Soo-yeon then tore up the divorce papers, declaring her intent to ruin those who wronged her, including Min-chul, and warned him not to use their daughter as leverage.

Soo-yeon stormed out, issuing a final warning to Shin Hae-rin to stay away from her daughter, setting the stage for an intense showdown.

Meanwhile, Kang Sun-ho (played by Kang Seung-ho), the lawyer for Yoon Ki-joo (played by Kim Ki-bang), who committed a tomato attack, confronted Park Seo-ah and Go Ah-ram with their past bullying videos, hinting at a potential twist.
