Veteran Actress Kim Yong-rim Praises IU's Talent and Kindness

On the September 30th episode of SBS's variety show 'Shoes Off, Single for Men,' Kim Yong-rim appeared alongside Seo Kwon-soon and Lee Kwan-hee in the 'K-Spirit Hunters' special.
Kim Yong-rim, who played IU's grandmother-in-law in the recent drama 'You Have Done Well,' revealed, "My connection with IU began when we worked together on the drama 'You're the Best, Lee Soon-shin.'"

Kim Yong-rim added, "At that time, I frequently traveled to Japan. Whenever I returned, IU would always bring me something, even if it was just snacks. She consistently showed such thoughtfulness, which left a lasting impression on me."
Meanwhile, IU is set to star in the upcoming MBC drama '21st Century Grand Lady' alongside Byun Woo-seok. The drama is set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy in South Korea and follows the story of 'Seong Hee-joo,' a woman who has everything but is frustrated by her commoner status, and 'Lee Wan,' a prince who has nothing despite being the king's son. The drama is scheduled to air in the first half of 2026 as a Friday-Saturday series.
