Korean Actress Bang Eun-hee Opens Up About Her Marriages and Family Struggles

On the recent episode of Channel A's 'Best Friends Documentary - Four-Person Dining Table,' which aired on the 29th, Bang Eun-hee invited her close friend, lawyer Yang So-young, and actress Yul-hee.
During the show, Bang Eun-hee confessed, “The biggest mistake I made in life was getting married. What’s the point of doing it twice? I married without love. The first time, I got married 33 days after meeting, and the second time, it was 30 days.”
She added, “I didn’t consider dating important. Honestly, I was arrogant and foolish.”

Bang Eun-hee revealed that her second marriage was for her son’s sake. She shared, “When my son was three, he asked me to buy a dad from the toy store. He changed the lyrics of ‘Dad, Be Strong’ to ‘Mom, Be Strong,’ and it broke my heart.”
She continued, “I thought that since he was an entertainment CEO and a strong person, he could be a father to my child. But since it was his second marriage and he had no children, he didn’t understand fatherhood. My son didn’t feel loved, so we divorced after nine years.”
Currently, her son is pursuing a career as a film director and is studying at Tufts University in Boston, USA.

She further revealed, “My father, who was in construction, came home once every month or two. When I said I wanted to act, he threatened me with a knife. It was chaotic and I was beaten.”
