K-Pop Trainees Jeon I-jeong and Kim Jun-min Advance to 'Boys Planet 2' Finale

CJES Entertainment's trainees Jeon I-jeong, born in 2003, and Kim Jun-min, born in 2002, have successfully advanced to the finals of Mnet's 'Boys Planet 2'.

On the episode aired on the 18th, the third survivor announcement ceremony was broadcast. Special master Baekho from NU'EST appeared, providing hints before announcing the 15th place. He mentioned, "This contestant once ranked first in the on-site star creator evaluation after a performance and has experienced living in 2-person, 4-person, and 6-person rooms at the Planet Camp."

Jeon I-jeong speculated, "I think it's me," while Jung Sang-hyun responded, "It could be I-jeong or me." Shortly after, Jeon I-jeong was revealed to be in 15th place. Baekho commented, "Without the benefits, Jeon I-jeong wouldn't have made it to the final stage," emphasizing the significance of the benefits.

Jeon expressed his gratitude, "Thanks to everyone who supported me, I gained great strength. I sincerely thank you all," and encouraged Kim Jun-min's advancement to the finals by saying, "See you later, Jun-min hyung."

Kim Jun-min was soon announced as the 13th place contestant. Before the announcement, Baekho hinted, "He has a cute pet and has changed his hair color during 'Boys Planet 2'." On stage, Kim Jun-min expressed his gratitude, "I am deeply thankful to the star creators for giving me another chance to stand on the final stage I really wanted to be on."

Baekho praised Kim Jun-min's diligence, noting, "Kim Jun-min stood out for never being late at the Planet Camp. His advancement to the finals is the result of his hard work."

In previous episodes, it was revealed that Kim Jun-min and Park Dong-kyu were never late during their four-month training camp, always being the first to attend among the trainees. Park Dong-kyu, who initially ranked low, gained attention for his consistent diligence and attitude, climbing 10 ranks to secure 14th place in the third survivor announcement.

In a broadcast last month, Kim Jun-min confided to his roommate, DKB's Han Hae-ri-jun, "If I get eliminated here, I can't continue my career as a singer." He shared his earnest desire for recognition, saying, "I hope someone acknowledges that I tried my best and couldn't do anything else if I return." His heartfelt confession drew sympathy from viewers.
