Yoon Yoo-sun delivers a profound emotional impact in 'Esquire'.

The JTBC weekend drama 'Esquire: Lawyers Dreaming of Lawyers' (hereafter 'Esquire') concluded on the 7th, with Yoon Yoo-sun playing the role of Choi Eun-hee. Initially perceived as a cold, prestigious law school professor, Eun-hee's past struggles with maternal love were revealed.

In episodes 11 and 12 of 'Esquire', the long-standing conflict between Eun-hee, Kang Hyo-min (played by Jung Chae-yeon), and her other twin daughter Kang Hyo-joo (also played by Jung Chae-yeon) was resolved.

Eun-hee's husband, Il-chan, suggested she adopt a cat while they were apart, and she reluctantly agreed. Eun-hee focused on a cat that did not respond to loud noises, recalling her twins' childhood. She remembered the shock of discovering Hyo-joo's disability, leading her to adopt Cherry, a deaf and mute cat. When Cherry fell ill due to a vaccination side effect, Eun-hee shed tears she had been holding back.

Eun-hee had a heartfelt conversation with Hyo-min, who visited her. Eun-hee explained that Cherry reminded her of Hyo-joo and blamed herself for the cat's illness, saying, "I am not fit to be a mother." She confessed that while overprotecting Hyo-joo, who frequently got hurt, she neglected Hyo-min, who was seriously injured. Hyo-min also learned that her sister Hyo-joo had been adopted by an aunt, resolving her deep-seated conflict with her mother.

When Hyo-joo visited, Eun-hee attempted to communicate using sign language. Eun-hee asked if they could meet again and revealed she learned sign language to talk to Hyo-joo. She repeatedly apologized, expressing her remorse. Hyo-joo responded that she was happy, is happy, and will be happy, bringing tears to the viewers with their sincere conversation.

Yoon Yoo-sun skillfully portrayed a range of emotions in 'Esquire', from gentle charisma to poignant emotional acting. Her nuanced performance gradually unveiled the character's hidden pain, leaving a strong impression with her compelling portrayal.
