In the 11th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Mary Kills People', aired on the night of the 6th, Woo So-jung (played by Lee Bo-young) and Choi Dae-hyun (played by Kang Ki-young) find new lives after the closure of the Benfobarbital murder case. Ban Ji-hoon (played by Lee Min-ki) dismantles the dark connections involving Goo Kwang-chul (played by Baek Hyun-jin) and Ahn Tae-sung (played by Kim Tae-woo), while Woo So-jung volunteers at Father Yang's (played by Kwon Hae-hyo) Maria Welfare Hospital, and Choi Dae-hyun serves time in prison for his crimes. The story then jumps three years into the future.

It is revealed that Woo So-jung's proposal to cooperate with Goo Kwang-chul was part of a plan with Ban Ji-hoon to protect Bae Mi-young (played by Woo Mi-hwa), who survived a suicide attempt, and to arrest Goo Kwang-chul. Despite Bae Mi-young's initial request for euthanasia, she changes her mind, prompting Woo So-jung to decide to save her. She seeks Ban Ji-hoon's help, who agrees on the condition that she promises never to assist in euthanasia again. Ban Ji-hoon advises that Goo Kwang-chul must be caught at the scene of supplying Benfo, and Woo So-jung plans to use videos of clients consenting to assisted deaths as bait to gain Goo Kwang-chul's trust.

Goo Kwang-chul smiles confidently when Woo So-jung hands over the incriminating videos. However, Woo So-jung injects herself with Benfobarbital brought by Goo Kwang-chul and collapses, demanding the antidote from him while pointing a gun. As Goo Kwang-chul erupts in anger, Woo So-jung falls into his arms, and Ban Ji-hoon bursts in, shooting Goo Kwang-chul, who dies. Ban Ji-hoon administers the antidote to Woo So-jung and hides the client consent videos in Goo Kwang-chul's desk drawer.

Meanwhile, Choi Dae-hyun is arrested by Detective Bu (played by Tae Hang-ho) after being beaten by Goo Kwang-chul's henchmen, and Park Min-sung is caught attempting to kill Bae Mi-young in the hospital by Detective Do (played by Lee Do-gun), disguised as a doctor. Following Goo Kwang-chul's death, Ban Ji-hoon and Detective Bu discover evidence of Benfobarbital and various bribes received by Ahn Tae-sung, leading to the arrest of Ahn Tae-sung and the narcotics team leader.

Detective Bu, using the client videos found in Goo Kwang-chul's desk, concludes that Goo Kwang-chul orchestrated all the events, with Woo So-jung and Choi Dae-hyun likely acting under his threats. Ban Ji-hoon adds, "Goo Kwang-chul tried to kill Woo So-jung with Benfo and even pointed a gun at her," confirming Goo Kwang-chul as the mastermind behind the assisted deaths.

During police questioning, Choi Dae-hyun claims, "I acted alone under orders from drug dealer Goo Kwang-chul," presenting a recording of his voice during Jin Young-soo's (played by Kim Kwang-sik) assisted death as evidence. Choi Dae-hyun privately asks Ban Ji-hoon to exclude Woo So-jung from the charges, taking full responsibility himself. Ban Ji-hoon conveys Choi Dae-hyun's decision to Woo So-jung, who insists, "I can't avoid my responsibility." However, Ban Ji-hoon persuades her to stay out of jail, warning that her imprisonment would endanger her nieces and herself, as Park Min-sung was killed in custody. Ultimately, Woo So-jung is not charged due to lack of evidence, and the 'Benfobarbital murder case' concludes with Goo Kwang-chul, Ahn Tae-sung, and Choi Dae-hyun as the main culprits.

Woo So-jung, hearing Bae Mi-young say, "It's the most painful and difficult time, but I want to live the most," encourages her, "You must live." She confides in Father Yang about her turmoil over patients' will to live and her beliefs in assisted death, asking, "Have I made mistakes all this time?" Woo So-jung requests to work at Father Yang's hospital, tearfully accepting that she may never be forgiven. In a letter to Choi Dae-hyun in prison, she admits, "Even when I wanted to die, unexpected reasons made me want to live," revealing her changed perspective.

Three years later, Choi Dae-hyun is released from prison, and Ban Ji-hoon finds a pamphlet for Maria Welfare Hospital, where Woo So-jung is the director, at the scene of a terminally ill elderly patient's peaceful death, raising suspicions. Meanwhile, Goo Kwang-chul's sister, Goo Hye-rim (played by Kwak Sun-young), who had left the country, learns about the events of her brother's death from his subordinate and angrily declares, "They deceived and played tricks on my brother." Goo Hye-rim confronts Woo So-jung, proposing, "Let's continue the work I did with my brother together."

As Woo So-jung refuses, Goo Hye-rim ominously warns, "Look forward to what I'll do next," leaving viewers anxious and curious about whether Woo So-jung will resume the halted assisted deaths.
