SBS Unveils Exciting Lineup of Reality Shows for the Second Half of the Year
SBS has revealed its exciting lineup of reality shows for the latter half of the year.

The network kicked off with the debut of the fake reality show 'My Turn' and singer Lim Young-woong's island life series 'Island Bachelor Hero,' both of which have generated buzz since their first episodes. In September, the ballad audition show 'Our Ballad,' created by the team behind the 'K-pop Star' series, will premiere. October will see the launch of the real road talk show 'Biseojin,' featuring actors Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu.

- 'One Shot Project – My Turn' Every Thursday at 9 PM
'One Shot Project – My Turn' (hereafter 'My Turn') is a fake reality show featuring seven participants, including Lee Kyung-kyu, Tak Jae-hoon, Choo Sung-hoon, Lee Soo-ji, Kim Won-hoon, Park Ji-hyun, and Nam Yoon-soo. The show follows their unpredictable journey as they form a fictional trot idol team, each pursuing their desires. Since its premiere on the 7th, the show has delivered laughter with scenes like Tak Jae-hoon and Choo Sung-hoon's bed scene, manager Kim Won-hoon's unexpected accident, and Tak Jae-hoon and Kim Yong-rim's love line.

Thanks to its popularity, 'My Turn' has secured a spot in the global OTT (Netflix) Korea series TOP 10 for three consecutive weeks. It also topped the '2049 TV ratings' for its time slot and surpassed 10 million views on YouTube short clips. The upcoming 5th episode promises more laughter with a scene featuring 'Bongtan Boys' in a heated argument while dressed as Hachu Ping.

- 'Island Bachelor Hero' Every Tuesday at 9 PM
Premiering on the 26th, 'Island Bachelor Hero' features Lim Young-woong and his close friends enjoying a carefree life as 'pollution-free island bachelors.' The show debuted with a 2049 viewership rating of 1.1% and a metropolitan household rating of 5.4%, securing the top spot in its time slot and among Tuesday variety shows. In the first episode, Lim Young-woong created a 'real friend' vibe with 'Iron Chef' Lim Tae-hoon, 'Science Unlimited Talk King' Gwedo, and 'Versatile Entertainer' actor Lee Yi-kyung.

The episode concluded with Lim Young-woong's performance of 'I Am HERO,' a track from his second album and the show's main theme song, offering viewers a touching and healing experience. The second episode, airing next week, will feature the four friends sharing their heartfelt stories late at night and Lim Young-woong's live performance from his room. 'Island Bachelor Hero' is a four-part series airing every Tuesday at 9 PM.

- 'Our Ballad' Premieres September 23rd (Tuesday) at 9 PM
SBS is set to introduce a new paradigm in music auditions with 'Our Ballad.' This show seeks fresh voices to reinterpret life ballads that have accompanied memorable moments. Unlike typical survival shows focused on specific genres and competition outcomes, 'Our Ballad' emphasizes the deep stories of participants, averaging 18.2 years old, and their emotional performances that bridge generational memories.

During the first round of recordings, participants' stories and songs moved many to tears, sparking curiosity. The judging panel, known as the 'Top 100 Ears Delegation,' includes Jung Jae-hyung, Cha Tae-hyun, Choo Sung-hoon, Jun Hyun-moo, Park Kyung-lim, Danny Koo, Crush, Jung Seung-hwan, and Oh My Girl's Mimi.

The show is produced by 'K-pop Star' creators Park Sung-hoon CP and Jung Ik-seung PD, with writer Mo Eun-seol from 'Black and White Chef' and PD Ahn Jung-hyun from 'My Ugly Duckling.' In collaboration with SM Entertainment and SM C&C, 'Our Ballad' will premiere on September 23rd at 9 PM.

- 'Too Harsh Manager – Biseojin' Premieres Early October
Set to premiere in early October, 'Too Harsh Manager – Biseojin' (hereafter 'Biseojin') breaks away from traditional talk shows, offering a close-up roadshow where stars are genuinely cared for. 'Harsh Caretaker' Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu will disarm stars, revealing sides only managers usually see.

Lee Seo-jin, known as the entertainment industry's 'multi-secretary' with a background in business management from New York University and experience as a chief asset manager, teams up with 'pro-driving secretary' Kim Kwang-kyu, who has held various jobs. Their chemistry promises to be a highlight of the show.

The production team promises a new variety show that blends observation, care, and intimate conversations, raising anticipation. 'Biseojin' is set to premiere in early October.
