Kim Yoo-jung's First TVING Original 'Dear X' Set for November Release

'Dear X' tells the story of Baek Ah-jin (played by Kim Yoo-jung), a woman who wears a mask to escape hell and rise to the top, and the tales of those she has ruthlessly trampled on, known as the Xs. The series promises a unique blend of melodrama and suspense, chronicling Baek Ah-jin's rise from the depths of life to its pinnacle, and the desperate love of Yoon Joon-seo (played by Kim Young-dae), who chooses hell to protect her.
Anticipation is high for the collaboration between director Lee Eung-bok, known for hits like 'Sweet Home,' 'Mr. Sunshine,' 'Goblin,' and 'Descendants of the Sun,' and TVING. Director Park So-hyun, known for her sensory direction, joins the team, along with writer Choi Ja-won, who won the grand prize in the 2018 KBS Drama Script Contest. The series is based on a popular webtoon with a global fanbase, generating buzz even before its release. The combination of a trusted production team and the talents of Kim Yoo-jung, Kim Young-dae, Kim Do-hoon, and Lee Yeol-eum is exciting drama fans.

Kim Yoo-jung makes a dramatic transformation into Baek Ah-jin, a top actress who climbs to the highest point by overcoming childhood traumas. With keen insight into others' minds, she achieves her desires. Kim Yoo-jung captivated the script reading session with her compelling portrayal of Baek Ah-jin's hidden cruelty behind her beautiful facade.
Kim Young-dae plays Yoon Joon-seo, who believes he can save Baek Ah-jin with his love. Having been by her side all his life, Yoon Joon-seo is her only refuge and fatal weakness. He is a character who would walk through any mire for Baek Ah-jin, even if it means destroying everything he has protected. Kim Young-dae's intense portrayal of Yoon Joon-seo's profound love is expected to redefine his career.
Kim Do-hoon takes on the role of Kim Jae-oh, whose life purpose changes with a word from Baek Ah-jin. Having survived a harsh life under his father's abuse, Kim Jae-oh finds a reason to live in Baek Ah-jin, becoming her willing shadow. His precarious loyalty to Baek Ah-jin, in contrast to Yoon Joon-seo, adds to the anticipation of Kim Do-hoon's performance.
'Dear X' will premiere on TVING this November.
