Actor Oh Jung-se recently opened up about the extensive makeup process for his role in the JTBC weekend drama 'Good Boy'.

On the 17th, an interview was conducted with Oh Jung-se at the Prain TPC office in Gangnam, Seoul. He stars in 'Good Boy', a series that follows former national medalist athletes who are reassigned to a special crime investigation team to tackle various crimes. Oh Jung-se plays the role of Min Joo-young, a seemingly diligent customs officer who is actually the mastermind behind various criminal activities, including the trafficking of used cars, drugs, and firearms.

In the early episodes, Min Joo-young is repeatedly punched in the face by Yoon Dong-joo, played by Park Bo-gum, requiring Oh Jung-se to wear makeup that depicted bruises and cuts. Oh Jung-se shared, "The makeup for the wounds took about two hours. I wanted my face to gradually transform into something monstrous as the injuries accumulated. Although the wounds were inflicted by the 'Good Boy' team, I saw them as revealing my character's true self. However, as the drama progressed, I realized that constantly being covered in blood might be uncomfortable, so we designed the wounds to appear and heal over time."

Oh Jung-se also wore high-end clothing that appeared understated. He explained, "The stylist and I wanted the clothes to look as ordinary and inconspicuous as possible, yet be expensive. The pants from brands like Brunello Cucinelli and Armani cost around 3 million won, the t-shirts were 2 to 3 million won, and the leather jacket was about 4 million won."

"The hairstyle also changed; at the beginning, when he was at the customs office, it was unstyled, but once his true identity was revealed, it was styled. The buttons were fully fastened at first, then gradually undone as the story progressed."
