The episode also featured a game of cat and mouse between Park Seong-ah and the evil spirit Bong-soo. Bong-soo, who was interested in Park Seong-ah, promised to grant her one wish if she found him before Yeom-hwa (played by Chu Ja-hyun). Park Seong-ah accepted Bong-soo's proposal to save Bae Gyeon-woo. Although Bong-soo enjoyed his newfound freedom after escaping the abandoned house, he was soon caught by Park Seong-ah. Holding Bong-soo's hand, Park Seong-ah pleaded for Bae Gyeon-woo's life.

As Park Seong-ah shed tears, hoping for a normal life after just one more day, Bong-soo's eyes wavered. In reality, the moment Park Seong-ah held his hand, Bae Gyeon-woo had returned, not the evil spirit Bong-soo. Unaware of this, Park Seong-ah confessed that Bae Gyeon-woo was her first love. Only then did Bae Gyeon-woo reveal that he was not Bong-soo. When a startled Park Seong-ah let go of his hand, Bae Gyeon-woo disappeared, and Bong-soo reappeared. Park Seong-ah realized that she could seal the evil spirit with a human talisman through physical contact.

Before the thrill of the first love confession could fade, Park Seong-ah and Bae Gyeon-woo entered 'clingy' mode. To trap Bong-soo, they tied their hands together and even shared a bed. Bae Gyeon-woo comforted Park Seong-ah, who was saddened by the thought of not surviving the critical three-week period. Bae Gyeon-woo was pained by the thought that Park Seong-ah's tears were once again because of him. However, he couldn't stop Bong-soo's rampage. While Park Seong-ah slept, Bong-soo escaped and headed to school, causing chaos by aiming a bow at Pyo Ji-ho (played by Cha Kang-yoon) and acting recklessly with Bae Gyeon-woo's face, leaving everyone bewildered.

To stop the unpredictable Bong-soo, Park Seong-ah resorted to spiritual rituals, but it was challenging to contain him. In a moment of crisis, it was Bae Gyeon-woo who caught Bong-soo. Sharing a body, Bae Gyeon-woo and the evil spirit Bong-soo made a dangerous deal. Bae Gyeon-woo proposed that he would allow Bong-soo to use his body at school in exchange for participating in an archery competition. Bae Gyeon-woo accepted Bong-soo's deal and agreed to lend his body while at school.

Despite Park Seong-ah's opposition, warning that dealing with an evil spirit could be life-threatening, Bae Gyeon-woo remained steadfast. Although Bong-soo's intentions were unclear, Bae Gyeon-woo reassured her that sharing a body gave him an advantage. He expressed gratitude for Park Seong-ah's diligent protection, saying, “I’m usually very scared, but right now, I’m not scared at all because you’re so warm. I like you,” and made a surprise confession. Park Seong-ah embraced Bae Gyeon-woo. Their first love, strengthened by the crisis of demonic possession, offered a poignant sense of excitement.

Meanwhile, the meeting between Yeom-hwa and Dongcheon General (played by Kim Mi-kyung) heightened the tension. Dongcheon General, unable to leave Yeom-hwa, who collapsed after being touched by a ghost-repelling sword, at the abandoned house, faced Yeom-hwa's anger. Yeom-hwa, furious, asked, “Why didn’t you finish me off back then, knowing it would cause trouble?” Despite Yeom-hwa's sharp words, Dongcheon General's solemn face as she performed a ritual to ward off evil spirits piqued curiosity about their past.

The 8th episode of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Head Over Heels' airs tonight at 8:50 PM.
