Choi Siwon Addresses Political Career Rumors on 'Knowing Bros'

Choi Siwon candidly addressed rumors about his potential political career on the latest episode of JTBC's 'Knowing Bros'.

The episode, aired on the 12th, featured the complete lineup of Super Junior celebrating their 20th anniversary.

During the show, Choi Siwon shared updates on his current project, Netflix's 'Hunting Dogs 2'. Seo Jang-hoon humorously suggested, "Instead of a gold ring, how about wearing a badge on your chest?"

The members revealed, "Siwon wrote us all letters for the 20th anniversary, and the stationery looked like it was from the Blue House, complete with gold embossing."

Kim Heechul commented, "When the stylist asks him to pull up his pants, Siwon stands straight and does it with his head held high." Donghae added, "Siwon often says, 'Thank you for being the center of the team,' to which he replies, 'It's a heavy responsibility.'"

Choi Siwon recalled, "The peak was during the 2018 Asian Games closing ceremony when I had the chance to meet the former president of Indonesia. With the world media watching, I felt we needed to work even harder." Lee Soo-geun jokingly suggested, "The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism position is vacant. Why not give it a shot?"

When asked about his 'ultimate goal', Choi Siwon expressed, "I want Super Junior to be a good example for the next generation and our juniors." Eunhyuk joked, "Siwon is working hard to collect campaign songs," and Leeteuk added, "He seriously asked if we would support him if he ran."

Amidst the playful teasing, Choi Siwon firmly stated, "I have no interest in politics," emphasizing, "As a cultural figure, I'm proud of our global activities."
