SNL Korea Stars Cha Kyung-eun and Kim Kyu-won Share Laughter and Stories with Comedian Kim Dae-hee

Cha Kyung-eun and Kim Kyu-won, known for their performances on 'SNL Korea,' recently joined comedian Kim Dae-hee for a meal.

On Kim Dae-hee's YouTube channel 'Kkondaehee-Bapmukja,' a video titled 'A Meal with Kyung-eun, Who Resembles Go-eun, and Kyu-won, Who Resembles Kim Jung...' was uploaded.

In the video, Kim Kyu-won immediately brought laughter with his ambiguous Busan dialect in front of Kim Dae-hee. Known for his quirky dialect performances on 'SNL Korea,' Kim Kyu-won amused many viewers. Kim Dae-hee burst into laughter, commenting, "It sounds like Busan dialect, but it's ambiguous."

Kim Dae-hee then asked Cha Kyung-eun if she often hears that she resembles actress Kim Go-eun, to which Cha Kyung-eun responded with a smile, "Thank you." Kim Dae-hee also inquired if Kim Kyu-won always dreamed of becoming a comedian.

Kim Kyu-won shared, "I've never changed my mind. I've dreamed of being a comedian since I was young, but after I turned 20, the auditions disappeared." He added, "In 2018, before joining the military, I auditioned for KBS's 32nd class, but after that, there were no more auditions."

Kim Kyu-won, who didn't pass the audition, said, "About a year later, in 2023, I debuted less than two years ago. At that time, 'Comedy Big League' was looking for new talents, so I prepared diligently and auditioned."

He continued, "I had to perform alone without any help, so I thought about what to do. I remembered when I worked part-time answering calls for a home shopping network, there was a notorious customer on the blacklist. I used that character and the trending MZ keyword to create the 'MZ Grandpa' character for the audition, which brought laughter."

Kim Dae-hee also asked about Cha Kyung-eun's debut story. Cha Kyung-eun shared, "I started with a web drama YouTube channel called 'Pick Go,' and continued from there until I joined 'SNL' this year."
