Australian Dance Crew AG SQUAD Responds to Controversy Involving Dancers Honey J and Aiki
Australian dance crew AG SQUAD has issued a statement regarding the recent controversy involving dancers Honey J and Aiki.

On the 24th, AG SQUAD took to their official social media account to share a lengthy statement titled "With love, AG SQUAD."

In their message, AG SQUAD expressed gratitude, saying, "We sincerely thank everyone for the support and love shown at the 'Meet n Move' event a few days ago. We are truly happy to have such a wonderful community supporting us." They added, "We wanted to convey that all the attention is seen as love, as fans have tagged us multiple times in posts related to the video."

AG SQUAD continued, "Ultimately, we are all human and mistakes can happen. We are committed to promoting women's rights, and all issues were amicably resolved on-site with mutual respect." They concluded their statement with, "With love, AG SQUAD."

Previously, on the 21st, a review video of the first episode of Mnet's 'Street Woman Fighter' (SWF) was released on the YouTube channel 'Today with Choi Hyojin.' In the video, BUMSUP crew's Honey J sparked controversy by commenting on AG SQUAD dancer Danica's performance, saying, "Is that dancing or sex?"

Aiki also faced criticism for using profanity during a scene with Australian crew member Aaliyah, saying, "Get lost, you [expletive]."

Following the backlash, both dancers issued apologies on their respective social media accounts on the 22nd. Honey J stated, "I made a rash comment in the heat of the moment and have apologized directly to the other crew." Aiki also expressed remorse, saying, "I deeply regret using such intense language."

The controversy extended to criticism of Hyojin Choi, who uploaded the video. Netizens criticized the lack of awareness regarding the video's issues, calling it "reckless" and suggesting it harmed the image of Korean dancers on the international stage. In response, Hyojin Choi has since made the video private but has not issued a separate statement.
