Unveiling Secrets: What to Expect in the Second Act of 'Unknown Seoul'
As tvN's weekend drama 'Unknown Seoul' (written by Lee Kang, directed by Park Shin-woo and Nam Geon, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Monster Union and High Ground) approaches its second act, key points to watch have been revealed.
First, attention is focused on the future of twin sisters Yoo Mi-ji (played by Park Bo-young) and Yoo Mi-rae (played by Park Bo-young) as their secret pact nears its end. The life-changing secret agreement, initiated by Yoo Mi-ji's proposal to save her sister Yoo Mi-rae from a dire situation, has had a significant impact on their lives.
While living each other's lives, Yoo Mi-ji and Yoo Mi-rae have begun to understand each other's worlds, which they had grown apart from as adults. As they delve deeper into their inner selves and heal their wounds, curiosity grows about whether their secret pact will hold and what the life change will bring to their lives.
Additionally, the relationships with Lee Ho-soo (played by Park Jin-young) and Han Se-jin (played by Ryu Kyung-soo), who are closely connected to the sisters, draw attention. Lee Ho-soo, a high school friend and first love of Yoo Mi-ji, is aware that she is living in Seoul pretending to be Yoo Mi-rae and is keeping this secret. His unwavering devotion to protect the one he loves is heartwarming.
Meanwhile, Han Se-jin, the owner of a strawberry farm, finds himself caught in unexpected rumors while working with Yoo Mi-rae on the farm. Despite Yoo Mi-rae's concerns due to unpleasant rumors from her past in Seoul, Han Se-jin surprises everyone with his confession, "I like it, our rumor." This adds a subtle tension between healing and romance among the four characters.
Lastly, hidden secrets of each character are sparking endless imagination. The revelation that Kim Rosa (played by Won Mi-kyung), the owner of Rosa Restaurant and a poet, cannot read has raised numerous questions. Moreover, the photo presented by lawyer Lee Choong-gu (played by Im Chul-soo) showing Kim Rosa's face different from what Yoo Mi-ji knows piques curiosity about her true identity.
The intriguing past of the mysterious strawberry farm owner Han Se-jin, along with the relationship between Kim Ok-hee (played by Jang Young-nam) and Yeom Boon-hong (played by Kim Sun-young), promises to add more layers of interest. Writer Lee Kang suggests, "In the latter half, it will be interesting to see how each character's hidden stories unfold and how the protagonists find their places."
