Jo Jung-sik Withdraws from 'Teachers 2' Interview Amid Allegations
Star English instructor Jo Jung-sik will not participate in the 'Teachers 2' interview.

On the 12th, the production team of Channel A's 'Teachers 2' released an official statement announcing a change in the lineup for the roundtable interview scheduled for the 13th. Initially, two producers and cast members Jeong Seung-jae, Jo Jung-sik, and Yoon Hye-jung were set to attend. However, after discussions, it was decided that only the two producers would participate.

The statement explained, "Due to recent reports concerning Jo Jung-sik, we are concerned that the interview might deviate from its original purpose. Therefore, we have made this decision." They added, "We sincerely apologize for the sudden notice just a day before the scheduled interview."

Jo Jung-sik was previously embroiled in allegations on the 10th regarding the trading of exam questions. It was reported that he allegedly paid 58 million won to a current teacher for exam questions, leading to charges of violating the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act and obstruction of business, resulting in his non-detention transfer to the prosecution.

In response, Jo Jung-sik's legal representative stated on the 11th, "We are confident that all charges against Jo Jung-sik, which have been forwarded to the prosecution, are unfounded. Jo Jung-sik has never directly paid 58 million won to the teacher involved in the case."
