Actress Cho Bo-ah opened up about the behind-the-scenes of a kiss scene.

On the 19th, an interview with Cho Bo-ah, who plays Jae-yi in Netflix's 'Dear Hongrang', was held at a café in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Contrary to the calm demeanor she displayed during the production presentation, Cho Bo-ah greeted the press with a bright and lovely smile.

'Dear Hongrang' is a mystery melodrama set in the Joseon era, revolving around Hong-rang (played by Lee Jae-wook), the son of the largest merchant group who returns after 12 years with lost memories, and his half-sister Jae-yi (played by Cho Bo-ah), who is the only one suspicious of his true identity. The drama explores the mysterious emotions that develop between them.

On this day, Cho Bo-ah described the kiss scene between Jae-yi and Hong-rang, saying, "It's definitely a romantic scene and a kiss scene, but it's not sweet like other kiss scenes. I think it's a poignant and sad kiss. I remember both of us had tears in our eyes while filming."

She added, "The scene was shot in a deep cave, so we filmed at a set in Paju. It was an important scene, and they created an environment where the actors could immerse themselves," she joked, "We filmed among Styrofoam rocks."

According to Netflix's Tudum website on the 21st, 'Dear Hongrang' ranked 6th in the global top 10 non-English TV shows, with 2.2 million views (calculated by dividing the viewing hours by the total runtime of the show) within three days of its release (May 16-18). Additionally, it entered the top 10 in 12 countries worldwide.
