Red Velvet's Joy Opens Up About Diet Struggles Amidst Public Romance with Crush

On the November 11th episode of MBC's variety show 'I Live Alone,' Joy, who has been living independently for six months, made an appearance.
During the episode, Joy revealed, "I've been really into a blood sugar diet lately. I'm trying to eat meals that lower blood sugar." She started her day with lemon water, probiotics, omega-3, and olive oil, explaining, "Once I'm interested in something, algorithms show up, so I tend to follow them all," referring to herself as a 'trend-following woman.'
For breakfast, Joy had an apple with the skin on, unsweetened peanut butter, sweet potatoes cooked in a low-calorie rice cooker, high-protein soy milk, and cheese. After her meal, she indulged in chocolate, explaining, "It's sugar-free, made entirely of dark chocolate, and contains MCT oil, which helps cleanse our body's waste."

Joy continued, "In my 20s, I pushed myself hard, conscious of others' opinions. I didn't take care of myself and dieted harshly, which eventually took a toll on me. My immunity really dropped. Now, I've changed my perspective. I manage myself for my own sake, not for others. As a result, my mental and physical health have improved."
Joy's home care routine didn't stop there. She brought out machines typically seen in dermatology clinics and used devices to improve blood circulation in her calves and neck, incorporating electricity into her routine. She also used a yoga mat and foam roller for a full-body massage. The nearly three-hour session prompted Joy to remark, "Today was a short session. Some days, I spend the entire day watching TV while doing this," leaving viewers amazed.
