Seo Kang-joon and Kang Tae-oh Make Anticipated Comebacks with New Dramas

Actors Seo Kang-joon and Kang Tae-oh, who both took a break from their rising careers to fulfill their military duties, are set to make their much-anticipated comebacks this year. Seo Kang-joon, who made his acting debut in the web drama 'After School: Lucky or Not,' quickly gained popularity for his striking brown eyes and impressive visuals. He solidified his status as a leading actor with the 2016 drama 'Cheese in the Trap.'

Following that, Seo appeared in various dramas such as 'Entourage,' 'Are You Human Too?,' 'The Third Charm,' 'WATCHER,' and 'When the Weather is Fine,' showcasing his versatility. Seo Kang-joon has chosen the MBC drama 'Undercover High School' as his comeback project. The drama, set to premiere on November 21, follows a National Intelligence Service agent who goes undercover as a high school student to track down the missing gold of Emperor Gojong. Seo's transformation for the role, including a more chiseled appearance, has already caught the public's attention.

Kang Tae-oh, who also debuted with Seo Kang-joon in 'After School: Lucky or Not,' is set to return to the screen this year. Kang gained recognition with the 2019 drama 'The Tale of Nokdu' and further established his presence with 'Run On.' He became a breakout star with his role in the 2022 hit drama 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo,' where he played the charming law firm employee Lee Jun-ho.

Kang Tae-oh was praised as the 'biggest beneficiary' of 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo,' captivating audiences with his sweet character. However, just as he was gaining significant attention, he announced his enlistment, leaving fans wanting more.

After enlisting in September 2022 and being discharged in March 2023, Kang Tae-oh has been cast as the lead in tvN's 'Potato Research Institute' and MBC's 'The Moon Flows Over the River.'

The first of these projects to be released is 'Potato Research Institute,' a healing romantic comedy about a potato research center. Kang Tae-oh plays Baek-ho, a cold-hearted principle-driven character who enters the life of Mi-kyung, played by Lee Sun-bin. Given Kang's previous success in the romance genre, his chemistry with Lee Sun-bin is highly anticipated.
