Han Ji-min and Park Sung-hoon's On-Screen Romance Takes a Realistic Turn in 'Efficient Meeting of Singles'
JTBC's weekend drama 'Efficient Meeting of Singles' has captivated audiences with the story of Lee Eui-young (played by Han Ji-min), who embarks on her first blind date to find love, and her entanglement with Song Tae-seop (played by Park Sung-hoon) and Shin Ji-soo (played by Lee Ki-taek). The show has been a source of excitement and empathy as it explores the journey of these characters towards love.
Despite their fears and hesitations, the courage of these three characters to pursue love has resonated with viewers, drawing support as they each discover the true meaning of love. As the series approaches its finale, the transformations of Lee Eui-young, Song Tae-seop, and Shin Ji-soo promise to be intriguing final points of interest.
In the midst of a diverse array of blind dates, the newly formed couple Lee Eui-young and Song Tae-seop have demonstrated the essence of mature romance with remarkable speed. Upon confirming their mutual feelings, they quickly transitioned into a relationship, enjoying home dates and even a spontaneous overnight trip to Sokcho, elevating the excitement level.
However, adult relationships often involve complex elements such as money, love, and family. Lee Eui-young and Song Tae-seop are no exception, as they face the realistic variable of family. Song Tae-seop's chance encounter with Lee Eui-young's father, Lee Tae-sung (played by Park Yoon-hee), led to a formal meeting with her mother, Park Jung-im (played by Kim Jung-young). Meanwhile, Lee Eui-young has already met Song Tae-seop's parents multiple times, as they own a restaurant she frequently visited with her childhood friend, Im Seung-jun (played by Joo Yeon-woo).
Shin Ji-soo, who transitioned from a blind date with Lee Eui-young to a friendship, is now pursuing his dreams, encouraged by Lee Eui-young's supportive words to "do what you love." Initially acting for financial reasons, Shin Ji-soo has found joy in it and has auditioned for various roles, eventually landing a part and preparing for filming.
However, his seemingly smooth path to becoming an actor faces unexpected challenges due to his father, Shin Ji-hoon (played by Choi Won-young), and his stepmother, top actress Son Jung-ah (played by Moon Jung-hee). Shin Ji-soo struggles with being recognized as "Son Jung-ah's son" rather than by his own name. The focus is on whether he can establish his own identity as an actor.
Additionally, the fiery romance between Jung Hyun-min (played by Jung Hye-sung) and Im Seung-jun (played by Joo Yeon-woo) adds to the diverse portrayals of love. Anticipation builds for the conclusion of the various love stories crafted by Lee Eui-young, Song Tae-seop, Shin Ji-soo, Jung Hyun-min, and Im Seung-jun.
'Efficient Meeting of Singles' will air its 11th episode on the 4th at 10:40 PM and the final episode on the 5th at 10:30 PM.
