Joo Byung-jin Amazed by Youthful Appearance of Matchmaking Partner
Joo Byung-jin was introduced to Kim Gyu-ri at a scenic golf club house. Impressed by her youthful appearance, he complimented her by asking, "You seem much younger than me. Are you in your 30s?" To his surprise, Kim Gyu-ri revealed, "Thank you, but I'm in my 50s," astonishing him with her youthful looks.
In an interview, Joo Byung-jin expressed, "I thought she was much younger. I was surprised to learn her age. She has great style and takes good care of herself." Kim Gyu-ri also shared her first impression of Joo Byung-jin, saying, "He is a well-mannered person. He takes good care of himself and looks young."
The two exchanged compliments to ease the atmosphere. Kim Gyu-ri introduced herself, "I'm from Daegu, born in 1970, making me 54 years old. I currently work in the seafood wholesale business." Watching the video, Park So-hyun commented, "It's surprising. She could be on 'Unbelievable Stories'. I often hear that I look young, but she is the best." Joo Byung-jin found her dialect "cute and endearing," appreciating its authenticity.
Regarding her youthful appearance in her mid-50s, Kim Gyu-ri explained, "I've been receiving skincare treatments at home since my 20s." Joo Byung-jin added, "I started basic skincare in my mid-50s as well." Impressed by her self-care, Joo Byung-jin remarked, "She seems to have managed her life as well as her body, cherishing herself and her family while cultivating her mind."
Kim Gyu-ri expressed her desire to meet a good partner, saying, "I want to find someone kind and consistent, but haven't met anyone I like yet." Joo Byung-jin, who usually finds eye contact awkward, shared, "I get shy and look away, but I realized you can read someone's heart through their eyes. That's why they say to look into someone's eyes."
While chatting at the golf club cafe, a wasp appeared, buzzing around Kim Gyu-ri. Joo Byung-jin joked, "The bee recognizes a flower. Why did you come dressed like a flower?"
Sharing a common interest in golf, the two enjoyed a golf date. Joo Byung-jin expressed his fondness for Kim Gyu-ri, saying, "It was a great experience to play golf together in this wonderful season. Her outstanding appearance made me nervous, and I missed the ball. Except for missing the ball, everything was 1000% perfect."
