MBC's 'Chef of Antarctica' Cast Embarks on Journey to the South Pole
The cast of MBC's 'Chef of Antarctica,' including Baek Jong-won, Lim Soo-hyang, Suho, and Chae Jong-hyeop, departed for Antarctica today (16th) via Incheon Airport.
They are set to join the team at the Antarctic King Sejong Station to engage in polar activities. Having completed all necessary preparations, including polar safety training, Antarctic Specially Protected Area (ASPA) education, and land safety training, they boarded the flight to Antarctica.
Baek Jong-won, who will be preparing meals using only the ingredients available at the King Sejong Station, expressed his anticipation, saying, "I am nervous because I don't know what ingredients will be available until we depart today. However, I am determined to do my best to cook for those enduring hardships in Antarctica."
Co-produced by MBC and LG Uplus STUDIO X+U, 'Chef of Antarctica' is a program that captures the process of serving a warm meal to the overwintering team isolated in the harsh Antarctic environment. It is scheduled to air in April 2025.
