Actor Kim Seung-hyun and his wife Jang Jung-yoon have spoken out against accusations of 'poverty exploitation.'

On the 5th, the YouTube channel 'Gwangsan Kim Family' released a video titled 'The Perfect Combination of Malicious Commenters, Unauthorized Shorts Creators, and Entertainment Reporters...'.

In the video, Jang Jung-yoon directly addressed misunderstandings related to recent articles. Kim Seung-hyun mentioned, "Recently, I did a fun side character reading for Baek Ok-ja, and some strange articles came out," referring to articles about their YouTube channel.

Jang Jung-yoon commented, "That article ranked quite high. People thought Kim Seung-hyun was a real physiognomist," adding, "It's problematic when journalists write such articles for fun, leading to 'Kim Seung-hyun became a physiognomist because he couldn't make money.'"

Jang continued, "When such articles claim 'he can't make money,' it attracts malicious comments. Comments like 'Go get a job' appear, even though I know how diligently my husband works, portraying him as a 'lazy bum at home.'"

Jang emphasized, "Kim Seung-hyun is not lacking as a provider. He helps with childcare, cares deeply for his wife, and we live without any financial shortcomings." Kim Seung-hyun added, "I am doing a lot of events."

Jang also stated, "I've seen comments saying 'Stop exploiting poverty,' but we are not poor. We've never exploited poverty, nor do we intend to." Kim Seung-hyun added, "Even if we were poor, our hearts are rich because our subscribers support us."

Jang said, "Journalists keep making it seem like we're 'exploiting poverty,' but we don't want such articles. It's true we had tough times, like when we lived on the rooftop during 'Salim Nam,' but we worked hard."

She added, "Even jokes about our financial situation become big news, so we have to be very careful with our words."

Regarding malicious comments, Jang said, "Please don't say things like 'Kim Seung-hyun can't afford baby formula.' Such comments are so upsetting that I can't sleep," and Kim Seung-hyun added, "I wish people would think before commenting. It's tiring to keep explaining, and if we don't, the public might believe it."

She continued, "Even acquaintances believe such stories. My father-in-law asked, 'Is Seung-hyun having a hard time these days?' It's more upsetting because older people believe what they see in shorts."

Kim Seung-hyun also mentioned, "There's a saying not to worry about celebrities."

Reading comments about his acting career, Kim Seung-hyun said, "The film industry is in a recession, so there aren't many productions. It's a long story, but I've been busy with childcare." Jang Jung-yoon added, "Kim Seung-hyun seems to be at an awkward age for acting, but there will be more roles for him as time passes."

Kim Seung-hyun concluded, "This feels like a tunnel phase, but tunnels don't last forever. I believe a time will come when I can blossom," and Jang Jung-yoon added, "Life has its ups and downs."
