The new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Parole Examiner Lee Han-shin' (directed by Yoon Sang-ho, written by Park Chi-hyung, planned by CJ ENM, KT Studio Genie, produced by Kotap Media) is scheduled to premiere on November 18. The drama follows lawyer Lee Han-shin, who becomes a 'parole examiner', the final judge of inmates, to stop morally corrupt individuals. It promises to deliver a refreshing narrative by dealing with realistic villains who evade justice even in prison.
On October 14, the production team released a 'Parole Bread Teaser' featuring Lee Han-shin (played by Go Soo), who transforms into a highly capable and quirky parole examiner. The teaser showcases Lee Han-shin's charisma in making firm decisions for justice and his wit in preventing the parole of villains, highlighting his dual charm.
The teaser video begins with Lee Han-shin, dressed in a neat suit, stamping 'eligible' or 'ineligible' on parole review forms in a dimly lit examination room. His swift and decisive actions exude the aura of a top-notch parole examiner. As he reaches the final document, unlike the others, he pauses and scrutinizes it closely, declaring, "You shouldn't be out in the world yet," as he raises the stamp high.
The stamp transforms into a cup inscribed with 'Parole Examination Committee Appointment Commemoration', and the dark background shifts to a bright setting, revealing Lee Han-shin's law office. As he leisurely enjoys bread with a smile, the caption 'Thrilling Ironclad Defense Against Morally Corrupt Parole' appears, hinting at the entertaining and exhilarating defense battles to come.
The teaser concludes with upbeat music and a radio news segment announcing, "The parole of Oh Jung Group's Chairman Ji Dong-man has been denied," followed by Lee Han-shin dancing in celebration. This raises curiosity about why Lee Han-shin is so pleased with the parole denial and what battles he will face to stop Chairman Ji Dong-man.
