Survival King Star Amotti Hospitalized After Filming Due to Mysterious Infection

On the 7th, the production presentation for TV Chosun's new variety show 'Survival King: Tribal War' (hereinafter referred to as 'Survival King') was broadcast online. The event was attended by Kim Byung-man, Choo Sung-hoon, Lee Seung-gi, Amotti, Kim Min-ji, Jung Ji-hyun, Kim Dong-jun, Lee Seung-hoon CP, and Yoon Jong-ho PD.
'Survival King' is a survival variety show where 12 elite members, divided into four teams - Physical, Jungle, Soldier, and National Representative - survive in the remote jungle for 10 days, competing in three rounds to determine the 'ultimate survival champion'.
Amotti, the winner of 'Physical 100' Season 2 and a former Marine Reconnaissance member, said, "It's been a while since I was discharged, but it was an honor to meet a good team leader and team members," adding, "I thought I would be offered to join the Physical team. I wondered why I was in the Soldier team, but I decided to participate thinking I could do something here."
He continued, "Before filming, I was busy preparing for my wedding. I was worried because our honeymoon was planned for two weeks, which overlapped with the filming schedule. I couldn't say it directly, so I showed my wife a message. She told me to shorten it to a week and go," expressing gratitude to his wife.
Lee Seung-gi added, "Amotti was hospitalized for about two weeks as soon as he returned to Korea. I felt sorry because he had to spend his first Chuseok holiday in the hospital after giving up his honeymoon." Lee Seung-hoon CP said, "I contacted him a lot because I felt sorry," and mentioned, "We are discussing industrial accident compensation." Amotti said, "I'm much better now. It was a memorable and enjoyable shoot."
Previously, Amotti shared on his channel, "I got married on August 17, went on a honeymoon on August 23, and had overseas filming from August 24 to September 4. After returning, I felt very unwell," revealing that he was diagnosed with 'very low platelet count' after a hospital examination.
Amotti explained, "The doctor suspects I might have been infected overseas, but they don't know exactly what caused it. My platelet count dropped to 18,000, and I received a platelet transfusion. Since the cause is unknown, there's no specific medication. I'm taking antipyretics when I have a fever," adding, "Anyway, I'm discharged now and much better than before. The reason for my health issue was 'an unknown infection'," explaining his condition of thrombocytopenia.
