Jung Dae-se and his wife Myung Seo-hyun have revealed their struggles with in-law conflicts and depression.

On the October 6th episode of MBN's variety show 'Once Decided to Divorce' (hereafter referred to as 'Hanigyeol'), the couple appeared and discussed their issues for the first time.

During the episode, Jung Dae-se and Myung Seo-hyun addressed the in-law conflict, which they had not mentioned during the pilot episode. Jung Dae-se explained, "It was a sensitive issue. It involved my family, so it was difficult to bring up. I kept thinking about it during the initial broadcast," revealing that Myung Seo-hyun has completely cut ties with his family.

While dining with Jung Dae-se, Myung Seo-hyun asked, "Did you contact your brother-in-law on his birthday?" and added, "You should at least send a greeting." Jung Dae-se retorted, "You don't contact my family or meet them."

In response, Myung Seo-hyun said, "I was talking about contacting my brother-in-law, why bring up the in-laws? I wish you wouldn't talk about them." She continued, "Living abroad, I endured the in-law issues alone. I even thought about dying because of your mother. I went through all of that in Japan. I did everything I could, and if this is what I get in return, I'm done. I believe I've done my part," she exploded.

In an interview with the production team, Myung Seo-hyun revealed, "I wasn't treated like a human being. Dae-se was focused only on his games, so he couldn't speak up during conflicts. Knowing he wouldn't stand by me, I ended up just criticizing my mother-in-law. As these incidents piled up, I suffered alone for a long time and even took medication for depression," she disclosed. "His mother called me a 'thieving cat who stole her son.'"

Myung Seo-hyun tearfully added, "It wasn't that I wanted to die, but while caring for the children, I thought, 'Even if I fall from the second floor, I won't die.' I held on, thinking 'I need to keep my mind straight.'"
