Social Media Addiction and Financial Strain: The Story of a Couple on 'Divorce Consideration Camp'

The final story of the fourth season of 'Divorce Consideration Camp' has been revealed.

On the episode aired on the 3rd, JTBC's variety show 'Divorce Consideration Camp' featured a couple struggling with a wife addicted to social media and a husband refusing a vasectomy.

The couple shared that they initially met through a booking at a nightclub. When asked why she wanted a divorce, Jin Tae-hyun commented, "This couple's story is related to a serious issue in today's society."

The husband, who currently lives with his in-laws, stated, "My wife goes to bed late and wakes up late. Meanwhile, I take care of the kids." Despite needing to prepare the children for school, the wife couldn't let go of her SNS. She admitted, "I spend almost 20 hours a day on social media, except for sleeping." The husband expressed his dissatisfaction, saying, "She continues to do it even when it's unnecessary. She's indifferent to the children's education."

The wife, who previously worked as a corporate instructor, took maternity leave and found her position gone after having their third child. She explained, "I had no choice but to become a career-interrupted woman after having three kids. I resigned to pursue a career as a show host." However, she had to put her dreams on hold due to her fourth pregnancy.

The wife's reckless spending habits were also revealed. Without a fixed allowance, she lamented, "I live like a beggar every day. I've never received my husband's salary. I don't even know his income."

A rebuttal video from the husband showed the wife visiting a salon in Cheongdam-dong for hair and makeup, a place frequented by celebrities. Her grooming expenses were revealed to be around 1 to 2 million won every two months. She justified it as an investment, spending approximately 300,000 won on fuel, aesthetics, and clothing for a 30-minute live broadcast. The husband noted, "It's a burden since she does live broadcasts six times a month."

When asked about her earnings, the wife admitted, "There are no earnings. I think I've spent more than I've made. I might have spent around 100 million won." She added, "I bought a foreign car with my severance pay because appearance is important for an influencer," shocking everyone.

When asked how she would manage her makeup during the camp, the husband revealed that she had called for a hair and makeup service. Park Ha-sun commented, "I find the cost of such services burdensome, so I do it myself and don't bring anyone." Seo Jang-hoon added, "She's the first to call for such services during the fourth season of the camp."
