Entertainer Ji Suk-jin shared his thoughts on Yoo Jae-suk.

On the 27th, a press conference for Netflix's 'Manhakdo Ji-ssi' was held at a cafe in Sangam-dong, Seoul. The event was attended by Ji Suk-jin, Oh My Girl's Mimi, and director Jeong Do-dam.

The Netflix variety show 'Manhakdo Ji-ssi' (directed by Jeong Do-dam, produced by TEO) is a reality-based knowledge exploration show that breaks down the barriers of knowledge with raw questions. Ji Suk-jin, who is passionate about learning even at the age of sixty, and Mimi, a member of Oh My Girl known for her sharp questions, serve as the MCs.

Given his long-standing friendship with Yoo Jae-suk, Ji Suk-jin was asked about his thoughts on the next generation of MCs to follow Yoo Jae-suk.

Ji Suk-jin commented, "In the 2000s, the main MC was crucial. Once a plan was made, the MC was cast first, and then the structure was built around them." He added, "Nowadays, the role of the main MC isn't as important. I believe editing can sufficiently complete the hosting."

He further expressed, "While I do handle the opening and closing, I find that a collaborative hosting style is more natural than one person leading the show."

Ji Suk-jin also mentioned that he has no competitive feelings towards Yoo Jae-suk, saying, "Before 'Running Man,' I had my time as a main MC, but the broadcasting environment has changed a lot."

He added, "Even if I want to joke, I'm cautious because it might be taken lightly in articles. Jae-suk is not a competitor but a friend I want to go with. We often talk outside of broadcasting and plan to stay friends even after retirement."

'Manhakdo Ji-ssi' will release its first two episodes on Netflix at 5 PM on the 30th, with subsequent episodes released every Monday at 5 PM.
