The 6th episode of tvN and TVING's original drama 'Hate to Lose,' aired on the 10th, achieved an average viewership rating of 6% and a peak of 7% in the metropolitan area, and an average of 5% and a peak of 6.1% nationwide on paid platforms including cable, IPTV, and satellite. Both metropolitan and nationwide ratings hit new records, continuing their upward trend. The 2049 demographic ratings also secured the top spot across all channels, including terrestrial, during the same time slot nationwide.
The episode depicted the chaotic office life of Son Hae-young (Shin Min-a) and Kim Ji-wook (Kim Young-dae), who became a couple working 52 hours a week. Hae-young was momentarily flustered by Ji-wook's sudden revelation of their relationship but eventually acknowledged him as her husband. Although Hae-young faced misunderstandings about hiring her husband, she managed to avoid a crisis when it was revealed that she had given Ji-wook a negative evaluation as a new employee.
However, Ji-wook was upset with Hae-young for suspecting him of being the office bully. Hae-young tried to comfort him by suggesting they pretend to be a couple working 52 hours a week, but Ji-wook, feeling unappreciated, said, "Trust grows as much as you give and receive. I gave, but I received nothing." Despite this, Ji-wook continued to stay by Hae-young's side, creating moments of excitement.
News of 'Team Leader' Hae-young and 'New Employee' Ji-wook's office marriage quickly spread within the company. The two, now the talk of the office, faced their colleagues, including Ahn Woo-jae (Go Wook), with a brazen attitude, eliciting laughter. Hae-young, needing to act like Ji-wook's real wife, went to borrow his wedding ring but discovered he had bought it himself, leading her to wonder if he had a girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Ji-wook began to investigate who had intentionally hired him by closely observing Manager Jang (Yoon Seo-hyun). He even hinted at Chairman Bok Ki-ho (Choi Jin-ho), saying, "Is it Chairman Bok Ki-ho? Your client?" The focus shifted to whether Ji-wook was indeed the 'Honeybee Education' parachute hire.
To avoid suspicion, the official 'Honeybee Education' office couple Hae-young and Ji-wook started commuting together. Ji-wook even picked Hae-young up from her house and prepared breakfast for her, showing how they were gradually becoming part of each other's daily lives.
Bok Kyu-hyun (Lee Sang-yi) sincerely apologized to Nam Ja-yeon (Han Ji-hyun), who was deeply hurt by malicious comments. During a visit to an orphanage, Kyu-hyun had an impressive first meeting with Ji-wook, who was volunteering there. Shortly after, Kyu-hyun reunited with Ji-wook at the 'Honeybee Education' press conference, where Ji-wook was surprised to see Kyu-hyun as the president rather than a volunteer, sparking curiosity about their future relationship.
During a presentation on child abuse prevention, Hae-young and Ji-wook, who had excelled in new employee training, had a meal with the 'Honeybee Education' owner family and Woo-jae's couple. During the meal, Hae-young had a drinking contest with Woo-jae, and Ji-wook, despite not being able to drink, matched Chairman Bok Ki-ho's challenge. By the end of the episode, a drunken Hae-young, Ji-wook, and Woo-jae woke up in the same bed, leading to a chaotic ending that left viewers eagerly anticipating the next episode.
