Jung Eun-pyo Reveals His Son's Dream of Becoming a Hip-Hop Rapper
Jung Eun-pyo revealed that his eldest son's admission to Seoul National University was partly due to his dream of becoming a hip-hop rapper.
On the Channel A show 'Best Friends Documentary: Four-Person Dining Table' (hereafter 'Four-Person Dining Table') aired on the 2nd, profiler Pyo Chang-won and his son Pyo Jin-woo appeared. Actor Jung Eun-pyo, criminal psychologist Park Ji-sun, and lawyer Son Soo-ho joined as special guests.
Upon seeing Pyo Chang-won's 21-year-old son Pyo Jin-woo, Jung Eun-pyo remarked, "Professor Pyo in his 20s must have looked like that." Pyo Chang-won immediately agreed. Jung Eun-pyo joked, "Agreeing so readily makes it seem like you're bragging."
Pyo Chang-won and his son stood side by side. Jung Eun-pyo asked, "What do you think about the saying that a father is a mirror to his son?" The son humorously replied, "It doesn't feel great," eliciting laughter. Lawyer Son Soo-ho commented, "At first glance, they look exactly alike. Of course, there are signs of aging, but the base is the same."
Pyo Chang-won asked Jung Eun-pyo, "Isn't your son currently in the military? You must miss him a lot." Jung Eun-pyo's eldest son, Jung Ji-woong, made headlines for his admission to Seoul National University and enlisted in the military earlier this year. Jung Eun-pyo said, "I miss him a lot. His unit is less than an hour and a half from home, but since it's inside the demilitarized zone, he can't go out or take leave, only visits are allowed. I visit him often." He added, "While I go to comfort him, I end up being comforted. He always says he loves and appreciates me, and he's happy when I visit."
Jung Eun-pyo shared, "Ji-woong wants to pursue hip-hop music. His dream is to become a rapper." He continued, "When he was younger, he once said he wanted to become a pizza," revealing his son's quirky side. "His dreams kept changing. He wanted to be a webtoon artist at one point, then he wanted to rap. I told him to give it his best shot."
Jung Eun-pyo disclosed that his eldest son's admission to Seoul National University was significantly influenced by his passion for music. "Around his second year of high school, he said he wanted to go to a good university. He thought people would view him differently if he pursued rap. But if he went to a good university and wrote good lyrics, it would be more convincing. So, he studied hard for that reason."
Regarding his 19-year-old daughter, Jung Eun-pyo said, "She is studying hard." About his 12-year-old youngest child, he shared, "My youngest is in the sixth grade. About four months ago, they told me, 'I don't think studying is for me. I want to dance.' They love dancing and go to dance school five times a week. They said it makes them happy." He added, "I don't know if they'll continue dancing, but they said studying isn't for them." He also shared, "I asked if they wouldn't study at all, and they said, 'I'll study English because I need to go global.' So, they're studying English diligently," drawing admiration.
