Yoon Min-soo Opens Up About Living with Ex-Wife Post-Divorce on 'My Ugly Duckling'

Yoon Min-soo, a star of the SBS variety show 'My Ugly Duckling,' has revealed the reasons behind living with his ex-wife after their divorce.

On the episode aired on the 24th, Yoon Min-soo's daily life was showcased following the announcement of his divorce after 18 years of marriage.

Yoon's mother joined the show as part of the 'Movengers' team, expressing her surprise by saying, "I learned about my son's divorce through the news. I didn't want to meet people."

Yoon Min-soo spoke candidly about the divorce, stating, "The news of our divorce came out last year, but the paperwork was only finalized about two months ago. We both had issues to resolve and agreed to sort things out gradually."

When asked about the reason for their divorce, Yoon explained, "It's hard to pinpoint a specific reason. We married young at 25, and now, post-divorce, we are more like friends. We support each other's lives more."

He added, "Even the lawyers said it would be nice if all divorces were this smooth. After the divorce, we went out for gamjatang (pork bone soup) and talked about everyday things and our son, Yoon Hoo. We even packed leftovers for Yoon Hoo later."

Yoon Min-soo shared that he and his ex-wife recently went on a family trip with their son, showing their commitment to co-parenting.

Addressing rumors that they delayed the divorce for their son, Yoon clarified, "It wasn't about rushing into a divorce. We discussed it over a long period and decided it was best to wait until our son was older."

He also mentioned his son's reaction, saying, "We didn't have a special conversation about the divorce with Hoo, but when asked, he said, 'It's your life, Mom and Dad,' showing a mature response."

Yoon Min-soo explained why he is still living with his ex-wife, stating, "There are many things to sort out post-divorce, including selling the house. Until then, we are living together."

The house is structured so that the right side is his ex-wife's space, while the left side includes the living room and Yoon's room. He noted, "It feels like separate units. I have no reason to go to the right side."

Yoon spends much of his time alone in his room, communicating only when necessary, mostly about their son. "We don't talk much except about Yoon Hoo. Even when we run into each other at home, it feels like we're friends after living together for nearly 20 years," he shared, highlighting his unique post-divorce life.
